The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska has officially begun construction on a new health care facility in Omaha. The project, valued at 46 million dollars, represents a significant investment in the community's medical infrastructure.
The Tribe acquired the former InfoUSA campus back in 2017 and has since been collaborating with Indian Health Services to move the project forward. The new building will span 40,000 square feet and is designed to significantly expand the capabilities of the Ponca Health Service.
This expansion will allow the facility to host more providers and offer a wider range of specialty services to patients. The groundbreaking marks a major step in the Tribe's long-term efforts to improve access to comprehensive care for its members. Construction is now underway at the Omaha site.
