Rogers Behavioral Health Secures $83 Million for Expansion and Acquisition

Rogers Behavioral Health has raised more than $83.3 million through municipal bonds to support a significant expansion of its operations. The Oconomowoc, Wisconsin-based nonprofit will use the funding to grow its network of treatment facilities and acquire an outpatient care provider.

The bond proceeds will finance construction and renovation projects at multiple locations, allowing the organization to increase patient capacity and broaden its reach into new markets. Rogers operates a system of behavioral health clinics and hospitals that treat conditions such as depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and addiction.

The acquisition of an outpatient provider marks a strategic move to strengthen the organization's continuum of care. Outpatient services typically offer lower-cost treatment options and serve patients who do not require round-the-clock supervision. By bringing these services in-house, Rogers aims to streamline referrals and keep patients connected to its network throughout their recovery.

Demand for behavioral health services has climbed steadily in recent years, driven by rising rates of mental illness and substance use disorders. Many providers have struggled to keep pace, citing workforce shortages and limited facility space. The new capital gives Rogers room to address those constraints while extending its geographic footprint.

Leaders at the nonprofit said the expansion reflects a long-term commitment to improving access to evidence-based psychiatric care. Construction timelines and the identity of the acquired provider were not immediately disclosed.
