The MetroHealth System is set to expand its impactful Nurse-Family Partnership program, a celebrated initiative aimed at enhancing the health and well-being of pregnant individuals and their infants. This expansion is made possible through a generous $500,000 grant from the Mt. Sinai Health Foundation.
For nearly a decade, the Nurse-Family Partnership has successfully connected registered nurses with first-time mothers, providing essential support and education during pregnancy and the early years of motherhood. The program focuses on promoting healthy behaviors, improving prenatal care, and fostering positive parenting practices, ultimately leading to better outcomes for both mothers and their children.
With the new funding, MetroHealth plans to reach more families in need, ensuring that they receive the guidance and resources necessary for a healthy start. This initiative not only aims to improve maternal and infant health but also strives to create a lasting impact on the overall well-being of the community.
