Men's Health Focused at Local Summit

Men of color gathered on Saturday morning in Waterbury to engage in vital conversations surrounding men’s health. This important dialogue was part of the Fatherhood Health and Wellness Summit, organized by Welcome 2 Reality. Marcus Stallworth, the Director of Training for the organization, emphasized the need to elevate awareness regarding men’s health and wellness.
The summit served as a platform for men to share experiences, discuss health challenges, and explore preventative measures. Stallworth noted that many men often neglect routine check-ups, which can lead to serious health issues. By fostering an environment of openness and support, the summit aimed to encourage attendees to prioritize their health.
Various workshops and discussions were held, focusing on topics such as mental health, nutrition, and the importance of regular medical screenings. The event highlighted the significance of community and education in promoting healthier lifestyles among men, particularly in communities of color.
