Mental health is an integral part of every person's wellbeing, and the connections we build can make all the difference. Feeling seen, heard and part of a community helps to combat loneliness and supports people through difficult moments. With this idea at its core, the club held a special week focused entirely on mental wellbeing, bringing together players, staff and supporters in a shared conversation about an issue that touches everyone.
The initiative featured a series of events designed to open up dialogue and reduce the stigma that still surrounds mental health. Workshops, group discussions and public appearances gave participants the chance to share personal stories and learn practical ways to support one another. Players spoke candidly about the pressures of professional sport and the importance of asking for help when it is needed.
Organizers stressed that mental fitness deserves the same attention as physical conditioning. The week also highlighted the role that community plays in recovery and prevention, showing how small gestures of kindness and understanding can have a lasting impact. By turning the spotlight on emotional wellbeing, the club hopes to encourage fans and young people to speak openly, seek support and look out for those around them.
