Baptist Health and Seale Harris Clinic have signed leases to become the lead tenants at the planned Riverwalk Health & Wellness Center in Hoover, with the facility set to bring a new wave of medical services to the area.
The two organizations will occupy a significant portion of the development, which is being built to meet growing demand for accessible care in one of the state's fastest growing suburbs. Seale Harris Clinic, a long standing internal medicine practice, will relocate part of its operations into the new space, while Baptist Health will expand its regional footprint with additional outpatient services.
The Riverwalk Health & Wellness Center is designed to combine primary care, specialty clinics and wellness programs under one roof. Developers say the project will make it easier for residents to see multiple providers without traveling far from home.
Construction is expected to move forward in phases, with the first tenants opening once interior work is complete. Local officials welcomed the announcement, noting that the project should create jobs and support the broader Riverwalk district.
Neither organization has released a full timeline for when patients will be seen at the new location.
